Dreams are answers to questions we haven’t yet figured out how to ask. ~X-Files
Introducing Tricia Dycka, Tricia is an Entrepreneur blazing the path less traveled supporting people when no one else is. She is intuitive, funny and quite hands on. She came to me with two dreams this week which I think many of you can relate to.
You can find Tricia by going to her Facebook fan page here. and her regular page here. Give her a shout! She would love to get your reaction and support!
These kind of dreams often come when one is at a crossroads. They have plenty of firm messages and symbols one can take and apply in waking life. In addition, I predict Tricia will have a follow-up dream or dreams (with solutions) if she really pays attention to the this interpretation, if not, recurring dreams will appear until the messages are understood.
For some reason, with these kind of dreams, I start drawing and mapping (I only needed to map the first one). I had sheets of papers with cars and forests and diagrams. I often feel like a detective when reading dreams (the Scorpio in me). It is where my passion soars!
The Dreams
My dream, I am a passenger in a convertible top is down. We are driving on a court around us are woods. I am not sure if the driver is male or female. On the court is a snake with its head up and its looking at something (not sure what) anyway.. a bird comes and picks up the snake and drops it into the car. I am trying to get it out. I go to throw it and it wraps its tail around my leg. I tried to throw it out like 2-3x but just couldn’t. I woke up with my heart racing. The snake was bright green and yellow.
Last night”s dream was about my day job. One of the girls was out (accounts payable girl) and I was at a computer that looked like a register with my husband sitting right next to me. People were coming up to us giving us their receipts. I had to enter them and I got frustrated with something. I left and my husband kept entering and helping people. I came back and saw an invoice from my company to me for $161.00 stating that I had entered in a code 3x and it was wrong. I was pissed telling my husband I am not paying and this what a joke. Then we kept processing and I woke up.
Mapping
(dream 1 only)
Mapping is a way for me to brainstorm a dream before I interpret it. During this time I often chat with the dreamer about what the specific symbols mean to them (i.e. Tricia has a snake phobia). Then, like a puzzle, I put the pieces together according to the person’s background (what they are going through now) and their hopes (what they want to carry out).
- Passenger in car: Passiveness taking a passive role! Control or lack of control?
- Convertible top down: Care free freedom even if there is exposure.. the thrill!!
- Woods all around: Surrounded by trees – freedom so there is a space that is grey in between the car and the forest which is the COURT.. that space is holding her back!
- Snake with head up: Searching / looking / — she saw it looking head up! YOUR WORST FEAR IS STARING RIGHT AT YOU”
- Bird: (SHADOW SELF) Self-Sabotage Freedom, picks up her worst fear and throws it at her…!! Predator Shadow Self! beautiful majestic creäture
- She struggles to get it out.. probably terrified… Traps her with tail wrapped around her leg.. stopping her from “making a stand”
The Interpretation
In the first dream, Tricia, you are in a convertible with top down which equals total freedom! Even though with the top down there could be no protection from the outside world, you feel comfortable in this place. However you are the passenger which may mean you are taking on a “passive” role in your life now. What is stopping you of taking charge? The woods all around you represent freedom too.. so this court (the space between the car and the woods) is where you are stuck! You need to get passed this.
The snake represents your worst fear which is staring you right in the face.. Yellow represents: “You have a fear or an inability to decide or to take action. Your desire to please others is at the risk of sacrificing your own needs and happiness. As a result, you are experiencing many setbacks.” (ref. dreammoods ) I think the green in this aspect is telling you to go ahead and face this fear (snake) you are having in your life. What is it, Tricia, that you want to be doing now? What fears are holding you back?
Because, the bird (which you described as Raven or Hawk) is your Shadow (EGO). Your shadow self is self-sabotaging you by dropping your fears into your lap allowing you to handle them with fear itself.. struggling to let go.. the fears are trapping you (snake holding your leg). The fact that the snake his holding your leg, leads me to believe that you are afraid of taking a stand and living out your truth. You need to let go of the EGO (Shadow self) to be able to get to the forest of freedom..
and… my intuition is telling me.. that beyond that forest is a clearing: Meaning even more great things will come your way if you let go of the SNAKE!!
I know this may feel like a lot to take in, however, if you really think about what you are going through now .. it makes much sense…
The other dream (work)
Basically this dream is telling you what you already know! You are frustrated at your day job! Your husband seems to represent that “male” side of you who takes charge when the time is needed.. this isn’t a bad thing.
The invoice your work has handed to you is the price you are paying for staying there and hating it!! I really think that is what this represents. For the time being, try to find a way to find positive things in your job before it makes you sick, OR face the Snake!!
I think you said it clear in your dream: “I’m NOT paying for this”!!!
Testimonial
I worked with Kim to uncover the meanings of the dreams I was having. This week, so much was going on in my life at once and it was coming out through my subconscious. Kim helped me realize that what I was feeling towards the changes in my life. She lets her intuition lead her to decipher what is going on with others. Kim does this in a kind and fun way. You realize whatever is uncovered can be dealt with and to always remember: Have fun with it.

What struck me about the snake wrapped around your legs, Tricia, is that Capricorn rules the knees. Capricorn is business and ambition. Knees are flexibility. This fear could be keeping you from being flexible with your business pursuits. (Being flexible may BE part of your fear.) Completely fits with Kim’s stellar interpretation!
